Shelly Roman
Life has a way of bringing us to our knees; Shelly Roman’s life is no exception and took her from traumatic beginnings to professional career success. Shelly’s childhood presented numerous challenges including abandonment at birth, family violence, sexual abuse, mental illness, emotional abuse, and addiction.
Despite these personal challenges, she was able to sustain a successful 35+ year career as an engineer, engineering leader, functional manager, and program manager. Shelly is an exceptional leader with a particular skill of bringing order to chaos. She led large engineering projects that contribute to the safety and security of the public and our nation. Her first love being aviation, she became a subject matter expert in unmanned aircraft systems, and she led programs supporting the National Airspace System. During her career growth, Shelly’s life challenges continued and included motherhood, recovery from addiction, divorce, remarriage, step-parenting, grief, loss by suicide, tragic accidents, and rejection from her own family.
Shelly brought order to the chaos of her life by developing the concept of “sacred ground” As a result of her journey to wellness, her presentations, workshops, and retreats help others to walk “sacred ground.” Shelly is committed to helping others heal their deep pains, become resilient, and lovingly transform their lives. Shelly is a contributing author to the “Find Your Voice, Save Your Life” Volume 2 to be released in 2021. Her forthcoming book “Sacred Ground Walker – My Journey into the Light” will be released in 2022.
